Full Description: This semi-detached house is located in the old part of Orgiva, on a quiet street with little passing traffic. There are fabulous views of the surrounding mountains and countryside, and there is a parking space outside the house which is a great advantage in the town. The house is well-built and in good condition, with tiled floors and white-washed walls. The decoration could be updated, according to the buyer's taste, and this fact is reflected in the price. However the house is perfectly livable as it is, and we (the present owners) have lived here full-time for nearly 3 years. A full survey was undertaken by registered surveyors, when the house was purchased by us, and this is available for any interested parties.
The house is double-fronted and opens into a light living room/dining room, with good quality tiled floors. This is a nice open space, unusual in Spanish houses. There is also a useful small storage space under the stairs.

This is also quite a large room with space currently used for storage, but could perhaps be used for a bath, etc. There are 2 double bedrooms on this floor also - these are 'walk-through' rooms, common in Spanish houses.
The top floor is a lovely light room, with a wood-burner stove for heating. We (the present owners) use this as a second living room and study, but it would make a lovely third double bedroom. It leads out to the roof terrace, which is of a good size with space for a dining table and sun-loungers. There are fantastic views of the surrounding mountains, perhaps some of the best available in the town and, as the house is a semi and the next-door property is only 1 storey, this means the views are almost 360degrees, and look up to the Sierra Nevada, across to the Sierra Lujar and down towards the coast, and over to the Sierra Contravesia. It is a great place to view spectacular sunsets, and star-gazing.
The house has mains water and electric, and has telephone and internet connection. It would be a good choice for a first home as it is competitively priced and ready to move into, or as a holiday home as it is easy maintenance and could be locked up and left for periods. The house can be viewed as a blank canvas for the buyer to decorate and design as they wish, or would make a functional home for a family on a budget. It is a traditional townhouse surrounded by mostly Spanish neighbours so offers a great opportunity to experience this way of life. Orgiva town has all necessary facilities, such as banks, restaurants, shops, etc, and has good access to larger cities such as Granada and down to the coast. There is a good English community here too, offering support and help, and opportunities for work.
